What do you want to know?
I have one with a Bushnell 3-9x40mm scope mounted on it. It has a synthetic stock. The rifle will shoot short, long, or long rifle ammo with no problem. Accuracy is very good, I regularly shoot mine out to 100 yards. I would say it is a good inexpensive plinker.

marlin has been making that rifle unchanged , basically for 7o years now, I have an 81dl made in '37. they do everything the first dude said, and it does them all very well. usually the tube willhold 25 shorts at one time, which means you can empty a 50 round box in 2 loadings! me likey! The new 981's sell for about 150 bucks , every day , at Academy. So if you can get one cheaper, feel froggy.
