Marlin lost some skrews

Ok so I've had a scope on my Marlin 30as 30-30 for about a year or so now. Today I decided to take it off since I'm going camping next weekend and didn't want the scope on there. Well guess what, I can't find those darn skrews that go flush into the scope mount skrew holes.

I tried just leaving the scope mount on or just the tall skrews up there but it distracts me when I shoulder the gun.

So where can I get those skrews before next Friday without ordering them?

You can't. Just order them Monday for 2nd Day Air UPS delivery. Or leave the scope on.

I guess I'll order them but I don't know how much I'm willing to pay for shipping for $2 worth of skrews. Worst case I'll just go without on the trip. I don't plan on shooting in the rain or in a dust storm anyways.

Lots of guys, when they revmove the scope base, just leave the plug screws off. You see them all the time on the used gun racks. Looks kinda ugly, but the rifle will funtion perfectly without the screws.

I sure wouldn't do that!

The mount screws will be too long without the base.
They will stick through the top of the receiver and rub on, or may even lock the bolt in place.

I've decided to just go without. I'm not going to pay to have 4 tiny skrews sent to me

If you don't want to get dirt in the threads just tape over with electrical tape
