I have a Marlin model 92 22 cal ser.no.389644 that has been in the family
since bought new. I wish to rebuild it into a shooter but am having
trouble finding a breech bolt with firing pin and ejector as well as
replacement springs. Bore and magazine are good but the only usable action
parts are the hammer, cocking lever and follower. This is not a
restoration project so new manufactured parts are fine. I live in the
country and need a good plinker and would like to see the old family
Marlin take out a few more varmits.

I have visited every site on line I can find but it seems the 92 is a neglected puppy when it comes to parts. I am curious as to the compatibility of parts with the 39A and the 1892. I am aware that some barrels are interchangible but don't know if any action parts are.

My father started working on it 20 yrs ago but didn't get very far. I would love to be able to fire great gpa's again. Any suggestions are welcome.

I would say you are SOL.

Current Marlin 39A parts are not even close to the same as a Model 92 22 RF (made 1905 - 1922).

There aren't enough of them still around for there to be any parts like complete bolts, etc floating around.

And certainly not enough of them ever made for anyone to start making new major parts for them.

Wisners has a few reproduction parts, but no bolts, etc.
