I rarely drink liquor. I prefer a good beer if I'm going to indulge. In Virginia its legitimately illegal to carry inside a ABC store. Thats a state controlled liquor store for you out of state guys, what all of ours are.

Its probably been a decade since I've been in a ABC store. One convenient thing to come from the scamdemic is curbside service from these stores. They tend to not always be in great locations.

Anyhow, I can at least understand the "sheepdog" mentality in a situation like a mass shooting scenario, but a bottle of booze at a liquor store is a mouse sized hill to die on.

My anticipation is the deceased was likely a frequent customer and/or pal of the liquor store owner.
Why in the heavens one would be inspired to turn to firearms over a random retail theft is beyond me.
