I started stashing bottles of liquor in a large pelican case in my attic among a few other things.

I decided since it will be in a hot hot attic it would be best in a pelican because it is pressure controlled and air tight (not sure if that matters).

I have been buying low shelf stuff just to get a decent stockpile going and then I will start buying "good quality" liquor over large cheap bottles. I am stocking a little bit of everything but want to build a decent amount of vodka for its antiseptic properties.

ANYWAY. My question is:

Since it will be stored in the attic that hits 130 in the summer days do you think I should avoid plastic bottles? I was concered that the plastic might break down over time like many water bottles were discovered to do have been doing and could be leaking BPA and PVC into our bodies.

Comments / facts regarding this? Anyone else do the same.

Please lets not argue my need to do so. I stockpile alot of hurricane supplies: Sandbags, gas cans, MRE's and simple meals / dehydrated food, cases of water, batteries, medical suppies, etc...
