I recently traded my Glock 17 for this Mauser 1914/34 fifth variant (aka the transitional model). Wanted to start collecting old pocket pistols and this one was a good one to start the collection. It’s in really good condition and the fire blue on the some of the parts is still in good shape. When I traded it, I didn’t know that the magazine in it was an aftermarket (feels like a triple K mag) magazine. I’ve looked at after market magazines for the 1914/34 and they don’t look like the one that came with my pistol (I’m thinking it might be an HSC magazine but I’m not sure). This magazine is not reliable at all. Stovepipes about every 5 rounds and isn’t the right geometry so it sometimes disengages the magazine safety and kills the trigger. I just got back from the Ohio Gun Collectors show this weekend and only found one guy with them and he wanted $150 a piece for them. I’ve seen them online for anywhere from $150-500. I’ve also seen that the aftermarket triple K magazines are anywhere from $40-70. My question is, are the triple K magazines worth it or should I suck it up and pay for originals? (I’d also be happy to buy one from someone on here for the right price )
