mauser 1914 slide jam

I' m putting this here rather than starting a new thread.
I made five dummy 32 ACP rounds by loading cast bullets into spent brass and marked them with black. I put one of them in the mag of my 1914 mauser (after checking that no round was in the chamber). I tried to cycle it. The slide would not pull back. I noticed that it lacked about 1/16" being all the way in battery. I tapped it forward with a wooden meat tenderizer (slap head). It still won't move. Now what. Any ideas? It's possible the OAL was too much. In any case what now?

Thanks. The cases were sized. If I don't do that, It's hard to get the bullet tight. I tapped the bullet from the muzzle with a piece of dowel. Even though it was a dummy round with a spent primer, it spooked me. But it worked. On inspection the round had huge set back, either from my tapping or from the over long bullet hitting the grooves or both. Should have tried the spin test first. of my remaining four dummies, some fit fine and others were too long. Thanks aagain.
