Maverick 88: 6 or 8 shot?

I did a 88 6 shot for home def and turkey gun. Ati stock, drilled and tapped for a 336 rail, and a 24" upland barrel. I really liked that gun, buddy did too snaged it from me before i got to hunt with it. I much prefer the shorter mag tubes, even with the slightly longer barrel, but thats personal preference.

Another friend of mine hunts with his 590 and seems to do fine.

*Update*

My shotgun now has 500 rounds through it, and I have the new Multicam furniture affixed to it

Here's some fuzzy pictures.

I always liked the idea of the extended capacity, but after owning and shooting both, I find I like the shorter guns a lot better. They just handle much more comfortably and inuitively.
And, if you have a 'situation' within shotgun range that 5 rounds of buckshot can't handle, then you showed up at the wrong party, with the wrong gun entirely. ;)

It most certainly does, I think it really hammers the Range toy look home.

I actually went out this morning and fired exactly 100 rounds. 95 rounds of buckshot, and 5 slugs. Again no issues at all. I was firing relatively quick controlled pairs at 10,12, and 15 yards. The only two types of ammunition I have had issues with were already stated, and I now believe that it was 100% ammo related.

If anyone has any questions, let me know.
