Anyone have a Maverick 88 or any Maverick shotgun. I would love to see some pics. This is my Maverick 88 with 18.5 inch barrel. These are the two mods I have for it. One is a pistol grip and the other is the ATI shot force stock, With shot force shell holder. It also has a ATI heat shield. Lets see those Mavericks!!!!

I bought a Maverick back around the year 2000 as a shotgun that could be used in any weather without worry of scratching it,dropping it,etc.
Better yet it only cost me new $139.00 and it's not a Chinese import.
Mine has the 28 inch barrel and is a 12 gauge.
Killed many a Dove with that shotgun.
The only thing I dont like about it over my Mossberg is the crossbolt safety.
The Mossberg's tang safety is just much more ergonomically correct for me.
The Maverick suits the needs of those who want a reliable shotgun for a budget price.

Got one, put the Hogue overmolded buttstock on it and an 18.5" barrel. Stays loaded with Winchester Ranger LEO reduced recoil 00 buckshot and staged for home defense. Accurate, dependable, rugged.

I bought a used one a while ago. Got jipped with the price. It only had one slide rail and I paid $139.99 for it.

Other then that, I loved my maverick. I would buy another one if I could find one out here.

Other than the safety I really don't understand the difference between the maverick 88 and the mossberg 500. I actually prefer the crossbolt to the tang....

Mine with ATI folding stock, shell holder, and heat shield.
