I would like some feedback on what is the K-Ball and why it is different from the softball and which may be superior. If possible.

Considering both in coated variety. I've shot a lot of softball previously.

I like the softball a lot. I haven't tried kball though. I just switched to the RMR FMJ though for a few pennies more.

One of my best off hand groups was 2.41" with MBC softball 230's and a hot load of aa#7 at 10 yards, it was within book max but gave 950 fps. The MBC bullets worked great and I wish I got the same accuracy at 825-850 which is where I like to run 'em. 950 is crazy in a 1911 so I backed that off but oh I still remember the accuracy from that batch.

(The dang western powder book has some HOT printed loads...)

Just looking at the pictures, Kball looks like it has the elliptical nose of real USGI, the softball is the hemispherical nose made by nearly every custom caster. I don't know which is BETTER, though. I do have one gun that needs the softball type, although I am getting good results with Xtreme plated and Gallant coated 200 gr roundnose and am changing over.

Which gun do you have that needs the softball profile? I haven’t found it super compatible with all my pistols. It usually does fine but I’ve had sporadic feed stoppages in a couple.

I use soft ball and like them. I set my die to plunk with the tightest barrel. Have 8 pistols. Did have a feed problem with one S&W so I set the bullet a couple thousands deeper. Now it also feeds fine. Next up is buying coated and trying them as my regulars are running low. Try to keep 1K loaded ahead.
