Quoting federal law that prohibits users of a controlled substance from possessing guns or ammunition. Despite being legal in WA state, MMJ remains illegal under federal law, so the federal prohibition still applies:

I'm sure the mods will appreciate if we refrain from debating the topic of MMJ here. I think the appropriate message is that those considering an MMJ card in states where it is legal should appreciate the consequences of entering their names into that database.
