Ira------if the USSC did such a thing there would be a war. IT would be the the Free States of Amercia aganist CA, NJ , and of coarse NY. Guess who would win.

Hey, they are just doing "the Jobs Americans won't do"

Most notably, bringing this to a head.

Biker:

+many.

the mexican government either cannot, or will not understand the huge gaps in the logic of their stance. there are no US politicians with a real voice that are able or willing to communicate american recognition of those gaps in logic. a case study in pride and miscommunication. add to this an increasingly frustrated majority of americans. this will come to blows.

whoever mentioned his recent development of thoughts and views he never imagined having....+1 you're not alone. we are being forced to choose sides, and there is only one right choice.

I think it is a huge mistake not to arm the National Guard. I feel something bad is on the way like some dead NG. If that happens all hell will break loose and the Amercian People may just back up the NG with arms of their own. Then the war begins. I really did not have bad feeling toward the Mexican people. But hearing the Hispanic Caucus, Lefty Right Groups and the Gov. Of of Mexiaco and seeing their true feelings , arrogance and pure hatred I have severely changed my mind. Good Grief. I want a damn high wall built pronto.

Second on that. This is pushing me into viewpoints I never thought I'd go.

Likewise. I was ambivalent about the illegal alien issue until the illegal aliens and their supporters began to ostentatiously jam their thumb in our eye. I haven't talked to a single US citizen who has been won over by the obnoxious and offensive tactics used by the pro-illegal-alien demonstrators. I've talked to many who were formerly fence sitters, but now feel strongly that these wannabe-immigrants are way out of line and need to be shown the door NOW.

The thing is, I can completely sympathize with their desire to get out of whatever horrible situation Mexico has put them in. I can understand that they want to come to a land of freedom and opportunity. I can even understand the temptation to cheat the system and sneak in without going through all the legal hoops. But what I simply cannot abide is the arrogance, the sense of entitlement. If anything, these people should be bending over backward to show their appreciation for what our country provides them. They should be going out of their way to fit in, to contribute, and to make the country stronger -- as immigrants have done in generations past. Instead of supplication (and yes, that's exactly what I mean), we see demands: "Give us amnesty! And don't you dare try to secure your borders!" Instead of appreciation, we see resentment: "If you don't value our contributions, we'll go on strike and damage your economy!" Instead of allegiance, we see disrespectfulness: "Here's some new lyrics to your national anthem -- in Spanish. Gringo's stole our land! Watch as we hoist the Mexican flag proudly!"

To be fair, at least half of the disrespectful and childish behavior I've seen has been promulgated by Mexican government officials, hispanic celebrities, and other outsiders. But that isn't going to matter. The perception is that illegal aliens and those who back them have already squandered whatever meager good will the citizens in our country had for them. Now the only question is whether our government will execute our will appropriately. Heck, just enforcing half the exisiting immigration laws would be a big step.

Can we start a new "Minute Men" political party, or has that already been done?

Whatever "good will" you believe the citizens of this country had it was based on ILLUSION. Things were falling apart long ago; that was manifest in places like Southern California as neighborhood after neighborhood went into decline, the infrastructure fell apart, taxes rose, crime skyrocketed, and congestion mounted. Under the veil of media silence the reality was very different from what elites wanted Americans to believe. Well, now you see what's really been going on.

I don't doubt that what you say is true for people who live in the most affected areas (Cali, Arizona, Texas, etc.). I was mainly referring to those of us in other parts of the country who may not have yet felt the tangible impact of the rampant influx -- media whitewashing or not. Those of us who, because the situation was largely abstract, might have been a little more forgiving of illegal aliens. My point is that the recent aggressive and offensive actions of the illegal aliens has compelled the rest of us to "choose sides" as it were.

6000 National Guardsman? Bush needs to send in 50,000+ and make that area of the border actually a border.

If the Mexicans don't like their government, why don't they stay there and change it. OIC, it's functionally easier for them to come here and get special interest groups to change our government in their favor.

Calm Down!!!!! We only need about 2,000 National Guardsmen on the border. >>>>>>> ALL SNIPERS!<<<<<<<<

Attention Mexican Officials!

First, if you all were not a bunch of crooked bastards, and actually tried to run your country for the good of the people instead of yourselves, provide jobs and welfare to your own people, get tough on criminals (instead of being criminals), crack down on drugs and drug gangs (instead of legalizing drugs) and make your country a good place to live, you would find that people would not be leaving your country in droves.

Second, if I'm not mistaken, a country can do what it wants for its own protection from invaders. I guess if you feel you can sue us for protecting our citizens, we should probably be able to sue you for not protecting yours!

And last, if my memory serves me, the last time you won an engagement with Americans was at the Alamo, where a small band of less than 250 Texicans still managed to hold off a large Mexican Army of over 2500 for days.

Think you can win against us? The Soviets could not beat the Taliban, but we did in record time. Iran and the Mid East could not stand up to Saddam, but we kicked his ass twice. Do you feel lucky, punks? Well, do ya? We wouldn't even send a whole army to kick your sorry asses, just a bunch of Texicans!

I don't know whether to laugh or cry. The physical reality is that compared to the U.S., Mexico is like the flea crawling up an elephant's leg with his mind set on forcible seduction. The political reality is that our elephant hasn't got the moral fortitude of a flea.

Words fail me

The simple arrogance and absolute disrespect for our country being shown by these "representatives" of the Mexican gov't is absolutely disgusting. Frankly, if people want to come here and try to make a better life for themselves, I'm all for it. So long as they do it within the laws of our country. That's what my family did nearly 20 years ago.

If we start having dead Guardsmen down at the border, I can just about guarantee that the Minutemen will triple or quadruple overnight, and that they'll *ALL* be armed. And rather heavily at that. It's absolutely amazing how a deer rifle can also serve the purposes of the defense of the country............

Please stop posting stuff like this. Mature and responsible gun owners are not a bunch of trigger happy wackos who think the solution is to kill people with guns.
