I always liked how Tubbs, even when facing unimaginable odds, always went for the .38 SPL first and saved the Ithaca 12GA as a backup....

Someone should have sat him down for a little talk.

And yeah, the IPSC shooter played the assasin who shot an killed the first Lieutenant, thusly bringing in Castillo. He had a hell of a draw... and a real purty 1911 in the tower scene.

BAD PENNY 03 - "Jim "out of work" Zubiena"

Nahh. Wrong again.

No actor who is "not working," is out of work. They are merely "between engagements." ;)

Jimmy Z had some prop credits in "Nash Bridges" that are not listed in IMDB.
Some on Don Johnson's character pistols were designed by Jimmy Z.

"...external modifications and cosmetics designed by Jim Zubiena"

Apparently Jim also appeared in an episode of "Nash Bridges" entitled
"The Tourist". No apparent IMDB credit either. (But then IMDB is not infallible).

I remember in the opening for one of the shows, a hit man executes a guy in a limo, then drops his gun and starts to walk away. A concerned citizen pulls his concealed weapon and attempts to hold the hit man for police. The hit man is standing a few feet away, arms up, facing the citizen. The guy playing the hit man was no actor, he had to have been a pro; he dropped his arms, drew, and fired in what looked like less than one second, dropping the citizen.
That's about the worst "remember" I've read in ages, especially since the DVDs are out and the actual clip has been on YouTube for the past year.

Hardly. Although he maintains both his SAG and Equity cards, he devotes most of his time off his ranch to fronting a country & western band, White Horse.

Well then...I stand corrected...
Well then… you weren't, but now you are.

Well, on the subject of tv shows portraying guns in a positive light, I'm going through the Magnum PI dvds and an episode on Season 4 has Magnum in his place, just sitting on the couch watching tv. On the table in front of him (among other stuff) is a copy of Shooting Times. No attention is drawn to this and it is not part of the plot. Just laying there on the table. It was good to see and you know Selleck put that there himself. I don't think you'd ever see that nowadays. Unless it was in the room of a bad guy, of course.
