Michael Douglas aiding UN in elimination of guns

I don't know what "SOT" means, but in answer to the question, NO, Calif. Police Depts do NOT buy Class III weapons and hand them out to the film companies.

Special Occupational Taxpayer, it's what you'd be if you made Booze that you wanted to sell or MGs and class III weapons for the most part, their are different levels of course but I'm pretty sure you have to have one present with the rented MGs and DDs at all times to be legal, also I'm pretty sure that according to the BATFE website that renting guns to movies is not a legitimate reason to become a dealer or renter of post 86' MGs, so to do such business one would also have to cater to LE or military on a regular basis or lose the license. In Canada though if you are a museum or a rental agency that deals with the motion picture companies you can have pretty much whatever you want, I don't ever recall seeing anything mentioned in US law about movies.

Leanwolf has it the figured out.
From my limited experience Sam Elliott, Buck Taylor, Harry Carey are good people you can have a beer(s) with and talk about anything. From what I hear Tom Selleck is all pro-gun regular folk to.

It would be interesting to know how some others like Katherine Ross, Kurt Russell & Goldie, Sharon Stone,......... stand on todays issues .

I find these hollywierd actors more and more annoying. Just because someone is famous doesn't mean they have an IQ over 50. They recite things someone else has written. They use their fame as a podium to coerce the sheeple.
Could be.

But let's look at this from another perspective. Say that one day somebody called Michael Douglas on the telephone and says, "Hey, Mike! I've got a GREAT idea! The UN needs some celebrity volunteers to help promote a decent cause, and you're JUST THE MAN they need!". So, our good man Mikey thinks this over, and decides that it's his civic duty to stand up and be counted. So he does. Now - is he evil? Is he a knowing participant in some UN-sponsored mind control plot? Or is he simply a (not very deep thinkin') schmoe who's doing what he believes is The Right Thing by putting some skin in the game?

Under these circumstances, is calling him names the best answer? More to the point, what are YOU doing to volunteer your services to get YOUR alternate point of view across to him and others?

unanimously adopted

Wonder how many times they will need to repeat that lie before it is accepted as truth? Or isn't the United States a member anymore?

I've never thought cutting the head off was enough. Sure that's a nice trophy for mounting but if you don't dissect what's left you won't learn anything.

Harvey Curry - "It would be interesting to know how some others like Katherine Ross, Kurt Russell & Goldie, Sharon Stone,......... stand on todays issues ."

Sharon Stone is extremely anti-guns owned by the worker peasants. Russell is a gun owner and hunter. Hawn supports every left wing cause that the Democrats throw her way. Don't know about Ross.

RBERNIE --- It is not a matter of Douglas just being an innocent "volunteer" in the fight against gunownership by the worker peasants. Douglas is one of the heaviest hitters in the Violence Prevention Center -- or whatever it's now called, and a gigantic donator to, and recruiter for it. Douglas is also a firm supporter of any and all Marxist Socialist inspired ideas that his fellow travellor legislators (and U.N. buddies) want to put into law.

Talking with, or trying to reason with people such as megamillionaire Michael Douglas, and most of the Hollywood establishment regarding "true freedom" for the worker peasants, is just about as productive as walking out in the pasture and discussing astrophysics with a stump.

That's just the way it is in Hollywood.

To quote Bill Murray talking to Michael Douglas,

"Its you! You know, I just LOVE your father.
