Hi,

I am going to be in Michigan for a couple of days next week.
I have read the Michigan CCW laws and understand the minor
differences from Wisconsin CCW laws. The one thing I did
not find were any words about private business`s posting
no gun signs. Just wonder if they do post a sign.
Do they carry the force of law ?

Thanks

I would appreaciate

I have read the Michigan laws and see nothing about business`s posting no gun signs. I may have missed something so I reread the laws and see no words about signage. So if someone could point me to the text I would appreciate
it. As far as I can tell there are none, but as you know different states with what appears to be similar laws are often just different enough to get one into trouble. Wisconsin signage really means nothing to the CCW carries who want to ignore it which i don`t really want to in a different state and different laws.

here in western MI I have never seen any signs except in the post office that restrict your right to carry. I carry everywhere and never have a prob. have a good visit to MI.

Well, I went to the site at handgunlaw.us and it is not working. However, I did find this on a FAQ site form Michigan open carry:

http://www.miopencarry.org/faq?_ga=GA1.2.736857373.1427064219&_gat=1&mocforums=a:4:{i:0;s:4:%222635%22;i:1;s:40:%22a4dc4bc33aa3e970c3187bbbe370117d4ab15a79%22;i:2;i:1622503982;i:3;i:2;}&has_js=1#7

The answer is yes, no and maybe.

Been living in MI almost my whole life. I can count on one hand the times I've seen one of those signs, with the exception of court houses and post offices.
