I posted my initial thoughts the other day. On my first outing it feed everything both jhp and ball- shot a little high but I'm sure that's my fault. This little guy is well built and a proven pistol from the Czech ZVI. It's a blowback so it's more harsh than a locked breech, but that's subjective depending on the shooter. Now I found that the trigger guard bottom edge was a little sharp on my second finger. That problem has been corrected with some 600 grit sanding. The recoil pushed a little to much in the palm of my hand so I have employed the age old inner tube trick, and it feels much better. The main spring feels fairly heavy to me (but I'm an old timer) so I'm thinking of removing a couple of coils to lighten it. The size is great if you are looking for small. Comparable weight and size would be the NAA 380. Try one.
I like the Desert "Mini" ! It fires better than my LCP I bought instead. It is a little heavier than the LCP if that doesn't bother you. I chose the LCP because of price difference. I may still go with the Desert Mini if this LCP doesn't work out.
I just returned from my local range, www.Fowlerfirearms.com , to shoot my Micro Desert Eagle for the first time. No FTF or FTE no problems what so ever. I had to use their ammo, Fiochi 380 Auto 95gr. FMJ. It hit kinda hard but I did run the box of 50. I do think my carry ammo, Hornady 380 Auto, 90gr FTX, may at 5gr less may not hit my web so hard but after all it is not a range gun. The pistol is well made, was as accurate as I am and carries very well in dress pants to cargo shorts.
I'm a confirmed Revolver guy who carries a Taurus All Titanium (15oz) Model 605 snub .357MAG, this MDE with 6+1 capacity may be concealed carried much more.
For me it was worth the price to have a firearm that conceals well, and performs well, no matter how I'm dressed.
