I suspect they put these out at about the same time every day.

I just got notice that the only brand of .22 ammo that works in my target pistol is in stock for the first time in 6 months, and their website has crashed hard. They must have everybody checking in at once for a few boxes of ammo, bullets, and magazines.

I got the e-mail yesterday too, and it was already gone by the time I got to the computer.

It's good to see that stuff is coming in, though. I'm going to squeak by this summer if I can lay hands on a few hundred .308 bullets for matches.

Back to hitting "refresh" over and over again...

I, too was a refresher, and it just never worked out. I even had my wife on one computer and calling them, while i was at work checking AND calling. I became convinced a lot of folks out there must have quicker servers or something because i didnt come close.

I got an email saying that 100-round boxes of .223 were in-stock for $43.99.. clicked on it and their website was down.

I had their website up the day they were showing an ETA for some bulk .22cal bullets that I had on my notification list. I also had my email open and was sitting here when I saw the notification pop into the inbox.

So within only a matter of seconds, I go to that products page to place a box of those bullets into my shopping cart... but it was already sold out. The banner at the top told me that although I was checking a product that I had received a notification for, the quantity received had already been sold out.

In seconds.

90% of the time when I receive these emails from Midway, the item is already sold out.

I have about a 50% success rate in these ammo emails. Basically you have to save all your credit card/address information on file so you can go straight to the "quick checkout" option. Also, if you get email on your phone, or can set up text alerts, they'll come in very quickly. Keep your computer online and open with a browser tab for Midway. When the product notification text comes in, just type quickly in your browser tab the six digit code, hit enter, add to cart, then quick checkout. No wasting time, just click quickly! If you check out in under two minutes, you'll have that 50/50 shot. I have 3,000 9mm bullets sitting in my garage now that I've received from them, all in the last month.

I just received a mold that had been on back order for 3 months at midway.
It looks like Lee might be catching up.

I've missed a couple notices, but I've also successfully ordered components based on the notices. Ordered some Rainier bullets just this week. I did check in a bit later to see if they were still in stock and they were gone. Guess I got lucky.

Are you serious? thats awesome but ive done all that to no avail...i just wonder if some folks get the notifications quicker than others....their has to be some lag time for some folks i would think..i mean, everyone cant get them at the exact same time..?? Im just feeling that im receiving my notifications a few seconds/minutes later than some people are. Maybe i didnt give it long enough...i tried 5 or 6 times...is this something you really have to be persistent and work at? (like i do scouring my walmarts in the early am)

I received an email from them the other day canceling my backordered lpk that I have had on order for the last several months. Not much of an explanation just a basic chain "we are so sorry" email. I tried to contact a manager there but the customer service rep that handled me refused to transfer me to a manager. Finally at the end I asked the person to take a transcript of our conversation and give it to Larry. I canceled all my orders and told the person if they ever wanted to see me as a customer again he would need to contact me to discuss the issue. :banghead:

I have it for 22WMR and its always OOS when I click through (usually right away). It's not like this caliber is in high demand

I received notice from Midway on Friday that

1,000 rounds of WWB 9mm was in stock. I immediately placed my order. The total elapsed time from receipt of midway e-mail to order placement was 4 minutes. Website said out of stock item has been removed from your cart.

Ive had about 30% luck, but worth the wait. I have enough to last the summer now, so Im no ones competition anymore for a while. Beats the hell out of gunbroker or midway. Also try sportsmansguide and walmart.

Well then, you can tell us what the brand was now......right?

Oh, I wasn't being sneaky, I just thought nobody cared. Federal 711B is the only thing that works in my high standard. The cheaper federal rounds are either supersonic, primed poorly with about 3-5% misfires, or both. Rem and Win standard velocity rounds feed ok but the priming sucks. CCI uses a thick lube that won't feed for me.

Eley and RWS or some other German brands work OK but cost as much as centerfire ammo.

Interestingly, 8 pounds of something backordered was just shipped to me from from Bruno's. I bet a whole bunch of places got a few cases of 711b.

I'm going to buy thousands of dollars of ammo and components when this mess is over. I'm sick if not being able to practice.
