I was given a jug of mil surplus WC846 powder. After searching I found that it was used for 7.62 military loads. I was wondering if anyone had used this powder for 150 gr 30-06 loads. My research also found that this powder was similar to BL-C(2) and W-748. Which one is a best match to use for reloading the 150 gr. 30-06 round for bolt action guns?

Thanks for your input.

It's really hard to give you a solid answer on this question. The surplus powders performance vary quite a bit from lot to lot. Even though I have shot 8# or so of WC846, I can't say exactly how your keg will shoot. However, if you stick to the 10% rule, you SHOULD be able to use Ball(C)2 data. If you compare data from many different manuals (and you must when using any "loads just like powder x" convention), you will find that WW748 and Ball(C)2 use very similar loads in various cartridges. A company called "Primex" makes both of these powders, and presumably WC846 as well.
Bottomline: Compare all of the suggested 30/06 charges with Ball(C)2 and WW748, find a good median load, then reduce by 10% and work up slowly.
