Millenium Pro 9mm holsters

I'll soon be acquiring a Taurus Millenium Pro in 9mm, and I'm going to need a holster for it. I'm looking for suggestions. Right now I'm leaning towards IWB at 4 o'clock, but I've been intriqued by some pocket holsters I've seen for it. Is the Millenium Pro really small enough for that sort of thing? Seems a little too big for pocket carry to me, but maybe my pockets are just small.

I need something that'll allow carry in very hot weather, Vegas in the summer is like being in an oven, and a jacket isn't really required most days in the "winter". I stay away from shorts even when it gets really hot, the few pairs I do own are as sturdy as jeans.

Start with a Mike's - kind of a review, bit long

I have a Mike's 15 and 16 for my wife and I. They are less than 20 bucks, and will be a good "sock" for your pistols nightly duty on your night stand. I have the 15 and like the fit, but the 16 rides too high for my liking. Nearly the same nylon holster for holding the pistol for each model, but the molded plastic IWB belt clip is placed differently. The 15 rides lower and more in your pants, the 16 rides higher and canted a bit more forward. The 16 feels tippy to me. Neither offers a thumb break, which is why I prefer the lower riding model 15.

Both do allow a good grip on the firearm, but do wear pretty fast aslo. I've had mine only a few months and have noticed and bic lighter repaired the abrading of the nylon where the safety, slide stop and disassembly pin are. And I don't even wear the pistol. I wore it around the house one day for fit and out camping in the woods to try it out. Other than that, no CCW, so I'm quite careful.

Even if you eventually go with leather, as I am currently shopping for, it's a great budget fit. I live in the PNW, so it's nylon finish is quite comfortable, maybe not so much in the heat of the SW.

There is quite a demand for them, I think they should be out this year, the Millenium is proving itself as quite reliable and gaining a following. My wife and I both like ours a lot.

I just recently bought the Millenium pro t145 and love it, youll find it easy to concealle and sometimes forget its even there.. I also use the mikes sock holster for concealment, youll find that its confortable and affordable, try it out..

PT145 holster

I bought my PT145 in December and a Don Hume IWB with metal belt clip. Inexpensive holster but no cant and does ride a little high for my taste.

Over at Taurus Talk High Noon Holsters (http://www.highnoonholsters.com/Product_Line/product_line.html) are pretty popular.

I have a "Hidden Ally" from them for my PT140 Milennium Pro and I am very happy with it. It is one of the less expensive IWB/tuckable holsters (runs $34.99), if your needs demand a heavier duty holster this is the cheaper version of the more substantial "Hidden Impact" ($54.95). I am only an occasional carrier outside the house (I live in MD so I am only legal out of state) but I do carry around the house pretty often.

They are a custom holster maker, but they have several "stocked items" which tend to be the less expensive versions. It can take weeks or months to get a custom holster. You can get their unmolded, less expensive, stocked version in a week or so, even if you do need the heavier duty version it is a good way to test out the brand (they are inexpensive) or to get a stop gap holster while waiting for the custom holster. Both stocked and custom they have a good selection of IWB holster styes (they have 5 versions of the tuckable IWB holster and 8 versions of the regular, untuckable, IWB).

They also have a pocket holster which also is a stocked item (no less expensive version of the pocket holster). As for pocketing the Milennium Pros are "pocketable" (at least I find it workable) but they aren't really pocket guns. They are a little large and heavy for pocket carry, but with the right holster they are suitable for at least occasional/short term pocket carry.

Too big for pocket carry, IMO. When I owned a PT-145 I carried it in a Milt Sparks Watch Six holster. Very comfortable. Only drawback is that it takes about 3 months to have one made! Worth the wait though. I'm now carrying a S&W scandium revolver. A lot more carry options and it drops nicely into pockets.

I have a mikes IWB for my pt111 mil pro, size 15 i think. fits great.

Mike's 30 works great for a variety of medium frame semiautos including the taurus millennium series.

Thanks for the the suggestions. High Noon in particular has my interest. I'm seriously considering a clipdraw as well for when I'm feeling minimalistic.

Just caught my mistake. Model 30 IIRC is Mil-tec which is related to Mikes but not in fact Mikes. Nice holster for the money though.
