I just received my VM2 for a Glock 30. It's black cowhide with 1.5" belt loops.

I have several "gun" belts that are 1.5", such as a wilderness insructor reinforced, a leather Gould and Goodrich, and a leather lawman.

I can't get the snaps to snap shut with any of these belts. I realize you have to push the snap from the bottom for it to fully engage.:banghead:

I spoke to Jim at Milt Sparks, and he told me a way to stretch the belt loops. I'm somewhat confused about what he told me to do. It involves using the plastic back the holster was delivered in. I think he said to use one of the gun belts and attach the loops to the belt with the plastic bag between them?

I anyone knows this procedure, can you give me an explanation that i can understand?

If the gun fit is too tight in the holster, this is recommended as a way to stretch the leather slightly. I don't see how it would work for belt loops.

I too find it a bit of a nuisance to get the loops snapped on my Watch Six as well as my UBG (same design). I leave them snapped and thread the belt through them. In theory you could moisten the loops with some hot water on a rag and pull on them until they stretch a little bit.

You might try this:

1. Brush some Rubbing Alcohol on the loops, then spray them very lightly with water.

2. Snap the loops shut and thread your largest belt through them.

3. Remember those cheap wooden rulers that Wal-Mart has? Slide one inside the belt loop behind the belt (so you don't risk scratching the outside finish of the belt). If the ruler slides in easily, try two of them. If you can't find any rulers, just go to the paint dept. and get some stirring sticks.

4. Let it set that way over night and you should be good to go.
