Has anyone ordered and received a Milt Sparks holster/belt and was the estimates as long as they say they are? Currently they're saying 20-26 weeks. I'm just curious if that's not a over estimate to be sure they give enough lead time or not.

I've heard they're running very close to that time frame. I bought mine from Lightning Arms Sports http://www.lightningarms.com/products.htm, ordered it on a Friday and recieved it on Monday. You'll pay a little more but I didn't want to wait 6 months, they have them in stock often, just keep calling.

(FWIW) That is what they said when I ordered one in 2007, and it was made and delivered well within that time frame. Check your credit card statement online when the 20 weeks starts approaching - when you see the charge appear, it is completed and on its way. :)

I would order from them and pay a bit more to get it, but I'm having a custom job of a 55BN for a HK USP Tactical. They have to do one custom as the TB is not accommodated in their design.

Brownells keeps some of the Summer Special 2s in stock. Brought one for a Glock 17 a couple of weeks ago.

Milt Sparks, if you order from them, employees a quota system to keep the lead times reasonable. Read about it on their website.

I've ordered two VM II from them. One for a M&P compact, and one for a 5" STI 1911. Both took right at 24-26 weeks. Well worth the wait. Very comfortable. I carry the 1911 everyday. I sold the M&P due to I like the 1911 more.

A.T.

I tried for about 3 months to order a milt sparks. Due to the way they take orders I never seemed to be able to get my order in before the quota was filled. I went with UBG holsters and couldnt be happier.

I'll admit that they seem to be working with 80's/90's methods of doing business, but they've got great customer service and I've heard nothing but rave reviews from owners of Milt Sparks products.

I almost did. But then I decided to get a better holster/belt, quicker, from Tucker Gun Leather. No offense.

I've got a Tucker, and I've got a VMII from Milt Sparks. Gotta say the MVII was worth the wait, many times over. It's the best holster I've ever used.

The people at Milt Sparks don't need to jerk you around with misleading wait times, they have plenty of repeat customers already.

Whatever you are told is when you'll get your order.

The first VM-2 I ordered came in about 6 weeks. The last one I ordered took 6 months. I've got a PMK on order for my S&W 24 and it should be here in September.

Oh yeah, Sparks holsters are definitely worth the wait.

When I got one delivered, I ordered another for something else. I have about 6 months to save up for it. Place your order on the first or second day of the month. Worked for me twice.

My VMII took exactly as long as they said it would. It's a top-quality product, no complaints with it at all, but my Beltster is still more comfortable and the VMII sits in a drawer. JMHO.

I visited the site of the "Beltster" and I couldn't believe that you would prefer that over a Milt Sparks! I know it's your opinion, but I kinda expected this product to be a little more substantive than a belt with a "jackslide" built in.
