All these anti-2A people want to ban assault rifles because of false claims that they may lead to further violence by crazy people. :banghead:

I am a lawful and sane person. I do not own any "assault rifles". That is because by the very given name, such a rifle would be used to launch an attack on a target. In other words... an assault.

However, I do own some "counter-assault rifles". These rifles are for defensive purposes. They have 20 and 30 round magazines and are chambered in various military calibers. They are to be used for protection against crazy violent people or invading oppressive forces.

Surely, I am wrong in thinking that anyone would want to deny a patriotic American the right to a COUNTER-ASSAULT rifle, right?

I don't own any centerfire rifles, so I never thought of myself as owning either any "assault rifles", or any "counter-assault rifles."

But now, according to the State of New York, I now own one in the form of my Ruger 10/22, further "evilized" with the Tapco AR-style stock and sling, and the Ruger BX-25 magazine (to supplement the much-older Pro-Mag 30-rounder.) And NY didn't even require me to install a "shoulder thing that goes up" to qualify this as an assault weapon.
