I'm looking for a set of 30mm rings for my Mini and a few different companies rings look pretty good, I just don't know how high I need for a 1-4 or 1-6 with a 30mm tube. I have the Bushnell AR optics 1-4 PCL and the Primary Arms 1-6x both are so close to the same size that either will work I just don't know how high to mount them, med or high? I'm looking at Warne rings, 14R or 15R, I'm guessing the 15r. Also, do these come in sets or just one in a pack? If they are single rings then I'd just buy from Ruger, unless someone knows of another company that makes rings.

I'm getting the feeling I could have to change the stock also, the cheek weld is more like a chin weld with a 1" scope with the original stock so I need a stock or a riser that would work, I don't mind drilling a hole in the original stock so that doesn't matter as far as a riser is concerned. Any experience is appreciated and as always, thanks for the help guys!

I used medium rings on a 3X9 40 (1" tube) and it cleare with room to spare)and seemed to be about the right height for me with the factory plastic stock, but I have a small rail mounted to where the Ruger rings used to attach so that makes higher. I could probably have gotten by with low rings with the rail if I wanted to.

Not meaning to be a pain but measure how far the lowest part of the scope is below the scope barrel, estimate where it will be on the rifle, (over receiver, over barrel) measure this if it is above or below the base of the mount and you can get the mount height necessary to for it clear. (tired so I think I have this right). You may want it higher but you will know the minimum ring height.
Note not all low/medium/high rings are the same height as others in thier height range. Ring height is usually measured to the base of the scope tube.

Or to make it easy throw money at it and order one of each! :D

(I had to buy this new rifle because I had a spare pair of rings not being used...)
PS the rail elimanates needing special Mini rings (you can use Weaver-picatinny ring whichcan be less expensive, better selection), allows red dot etc, no problems with ejection, it still throws them 25', don't seem to have as many dents in case necks now that the scope is higher. 4 stars for the rail, use Loctite on the screws, money well spent IMO.

B-Square makes a Ruger to Weaver-picatinny adaptor, it's not pretty but it works and only raises the above bore centerline less than an inch. Gives a greater range of front to rear movement on the rings, and the mount has several front to rear options. Then you can use any ring.

I used mine to mount a 40mm red dot, and a pistol scope ala-scout.
