Mini-14 Magazine Disassembly

How do I disassemble my Mini-14 factory 20 round magazines? There is a divet in the baseplate that seems to keep things together...Am I missing something?

There should also be a hole in the base-plate.

Use a bullet tip or small screwdriver or punch to spring the base-plate up enough to clear the divots.

Then slide if off the magazine.

At that point, the spring & follower will fly out and smack you up side the head.
