Mini 14 Ranch Rifle Rear Sight

I was curious if anyone out there knows where I can find a M1 style rear sight to replace the flip up peep sight on my Mini-14. I've looked around a bit but I'm not sure about compatibility. It doesn't necessarily have to be a M1 style, but something with a good range of adjustment would be great. My rifle holds 3/4 - 1 inch groups at 100 yards all day long scoped, but with the rear sight maxed out, it still shoots nearly a foot low. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Shooting low is easy to fix. File the top of the front sight down a little at a time until you are in the middle of the adjustment range of your rear sight.

Lol. That was my FIRST thought. But I really would like to replace that weak floppy little flip up sight with something more solid.

An M1 Carbine rear sight will fit with just a touch of file work on the dovetail of the sight body. Brownells or Numrichs should have one for a decent price.
