mini 14 versus AK47

Of the 3 AKs,2 Mini-30s,2 Mini-14s and 1 AR. that I have owned/own, I found the AR the least satisfactory for my use. I may one day get another AR but for now the Minis and AK fill every need/want I have for firearms of that type. To the OP,if it is an either /or question only,keep and enjoy what you already have.

If the Mini-14 will adequately fill a role in your weapons system, why would you sell or trade it?

What would you get for the Mini, $500? With that you would have to take your chances with a WASR or spend time/energy/money converting a Saiga (good luck finding them for as cheap as this forum believes they are) or an SKS. A WASR/Saiga/SKS will also be much heavier than the Mini.

The point is you have the Mini. Keep it. Train with it. Maintain it. If you really want an AK, save your money and add it to your system down the line.
