It is a rumor talked to century today and demand for this pistol is great at this time and sells as fast as they are put on the market. They have a new model called the centurion 39 ak pistol that is an upgrade to the draco available now. quad rail, birdcage muzzlebreak, sharkfin frontsights and not an import.... Looks Beast!!!!

and not an import.

Ohhh... "Centurion." Isn't that the name for their "Made in the USA" AKs? Shame they're going that way with it.

If they can't import them anymore then that takes a lot of the allure out of them.

A Draco made as a complete, functional firearm in the Romanian factory is a better bet than made in the USA from parts.

It's a WAY better bet than made in the USA from parts by Century.

It's and astronomically better bet than made in the USA, by Century, from all US-made parts.

This would be a decidedly negative turn of events.

I really like the 3 slot brake I got (about 2" long, 3 slots in the top, a hole at each end of each slot on the sides), and it works very well (pistol recoils like a .223 out of an AR-15) but again, it is very very loud. I love the giant fireball though. I've heard good things about the "bell" style brakes, the AMD65 brakes and the krink style brakes as well (the krink style brakes are noticeably quieter than the others from the side and from the shooter's perspective though they don't actually reduce the sound at all, just direct it forward.).

what muzzle brake works best

Of the ones I've tried, the Krinkov style worked great. Its a "knock-off" for about $15 from Cope's. Without it, recoil off sandbags was about like shooting a .44Mag with full house 240 gr loads. With it recoil was so straight back I skinned my elbows on the shooting bench!
