What is the minimum hunting age, if any, in Florida? We just got back from a weeklong vacation there where my son (10 years old) got to shoot his first wild boar. We'd like to get him out after turkey and maybe deer, and we have to wait till he's 12 here in PA. I tried to find ages on the Florida dept. of wildlife web site but couldn't find any references to minimum ages. Is there no minimum age there?? One more reason we want to move to the sunshine state...

No minimum age...

And talk about a good deal... :)

Lifetime Sportsman’s License includes: hunting, freshwater fishing and saltwater fishing licenses; and wildlife management area, archery, muzzleloading gun, turkey, Florida waterfowl, snook and crawfish permits.

4 years or younger......................... $401.50
5-12 years ................................... $701.50
13 years or older...........................$1,001.50

BTW, another nice to know tidbit.
Children under the age of 16 may hunt with adult supervision even though they have not completed a hunter safety course.

Dang... my kid's gonna be mad when he finds out I took him down during spring gobbler season and didn't know enough to take him out!

I gotta find a job down there!

:D
