You should have just enough that at any given time you have 10 that you haven't cleaned yet...then you will always something to do on a rainy day.

You should have enough that every time you open the safe you find one you forgot you had...it makes you feel good like the day you come home with a new one.

...or...

You should have enough that if the S ever HTF you know all your friends and co-workers are on their way over to help hold down your fort.

Zero. Should all my guns fall off of a boat I will still be a "gun person." It is not about possession or ownership, it is about knowledge, skill, safety, respect, love, and a whole bunch of other adjectives. Who am I to say how many guns some other person should have in order to join the club?
