I haven't been to my "home of record" San Diego, CA in about 5 years. Is the bullet manufacturer in Mission Valley, behind the Porsche service center still open? My buddies want to get into reloading because they are spending a fortune on ammo. Thanks.

Yes they are REDLINE ballistics. Had my sister dig up some of my gear in San Diego and the boxes were Redline ballistics. They are still in business. Look up their site. I will be visiting them on my next block leave.

Anyone have the info for Redline Ballistics in SD? I'd love to visit them and check out their cast boolits.

If youi go, would you inform us of the $$? I have emailed them and have not gotten a response. Last time I was there over 7 years ago, it was quite a small shop and probably very limited in man power.

I called and got a response. 45ACP 230g RN hardcast (20 brinell) is $94/1000 + tax.

For that price, I would rather have moly coated or plated rounds for a few $ more.

I can get FMJ (not plated) for $130/1000

I'm with you on going elsewhere. I remember when they were the cheapest source around. Being local I didn't have to pay for shipping back then.
