I think that you're all making a serious mistake by not supporting that bill. If I lived in St. Louis I would be campaigning for it actively and trying to enlist as many other people as possible to support it too.

This is serious guys.

We are going to have to assert our Right to Keep and Bear Arm and Hammer.

Sorry... I couldn't help myself.

El-Amin is a Deadbeat Dad

Talibdin El-Amin is a great man. He is a Democrat of course and a born leader.

"Family Values" Candidate Is Deadbeat Dad
By Mike Owens
I-Team Reporter

(KSDK) - A St. Louis politician, whose ads promoting his campaign for the state house describe him as a "devoted father," owes more than $7,000 past due child support payments.

The past due support came to light last week, when the mother of the children wrote letters to reporters, complaining about the lack of payment, and asking something be done.

The politician is Talibdin El-Amin, currently a ward committeeman in the City of St. Louis, but is running for the Missouri House of Representatives in the 57th District.

His wife, Yaphett El-Amin, currently holds that spot, but hopes to move up to a Missouri Senate seat, and he hopes to fill her old job.

His campaign signs are all over the district. While mentioning his fatherhood, and his home ownership, there's no mention of his two children to whom he owes child support.

The children, 13 and 11, are the children of Antonnia Washington, who had a long-term relationship in years past with Talibdin El-Amin. Washington knew El-Amin as Mark Bastain, and their two children carry that last name.

Last June, El-Amin was $10,000 in arrears to Washington. Currently, he owes her more than $7,000. El-Amin did not want to talk Tuesday about the past due amount, but says he'll be available for interviews on Wednesday.

Washington says she's struggled during the years because of the past due amounts, but she's always been able to care for the kids as a single mother. Washington says she's upset that El-Amin took out a bank loan to help fund Yaphett El-Amin's race for the Missouri Senate, but can't afford to pay the support.

Washington wrote a letter in April, sending it out to a group of journalists and elected officials, asking them to help her in her fight to get the support money.

Yaphett El-Amin declined an interview, but tried to halt the story entirely, calling news executives at NewsChannel 5, to get the story put on hold.

While El-Amin was telling reporter Mike Owens about the calls to his bosses, a process server came to El-Amin's campaign headquarters. The papers he served were not clearly marked, but a close up of the video indicated they came from the St. Louis County Family Court, the same court where Talibdin El-Amin has his support case.

HMm last summer after 7 days without power in sweltering heat we cleaned the fridge before putting food back into it "despite having emptying it on the first day" and used 6 boxes of the stuff . A new One was opened and placed inside to absorb the odors when the power went out , the second was used to wipe down the fridge and freezer and the third went in when power came back on . This was repeated in the deep freeze and all boxes were bought at the same time which was the first day without electric .

I wonder if that happens again this summer if I will need to pass a NICS check and fill out form 4470 to buy the stuff ?

Nothing like an elected Moron with some power !

Democrats want us to live like zoo animals so they can keep us safe. as far as outside invaders, they have no plan

actually they plan to surrender. they have already made that very clear.

:D beat me to it

I know it might be a little too obvious, but isn't cocaine already illegal? if that law isn't working why do they think another one will.

They did leave out one argument, the destructive power of baking soda, back when I was in elementary school I won a blue ribbon for my entry into the science fair, a clay and plaster model of pompeii with a working volcano, you know what dangerous chemicals I used to destroy the jewel of the Roman empire? vinegar and BAKING SODA!!!! and to think my parents gave me a whole box to use:what: :what: :what:

We have crack cocaine running rampant in our neighborhoods," he said.
Crack cocaine can run??
No wonder the war on drug users is having such a hard time taking this off the streets, it keeps running away.:neener:
This is just the kinda of stuff we need the Democrats to propose more and more. What better way to get the population fed up with excessive government regulation than asinine stuff like this.

Is it at all possible that the bill was introduced to show the absurdity of it all?

Only unintentionally. In my experience, public officials are generally completely incapable of understanding irony.

This guy's a putz, and should be booted out of office with all due haste.

Time to ban soil. You can grow cannabis. In fact, sometimes cannabis grows in the wild... we must Astroturf everything!

Legislation attempts such as this are a waste of every tax payer's dime. It's sad we have to remain so vigilant to keep common sense alive.

It is sad that such politicians from St. Louis and Kansas City assert so much control over our state's affairs. Draining schools of revenue, misdirecting funds for highways and other improvements, and occasionally proposing gun control laws that are as absurd as any other state. Of course we all know the reason such corrupt politicians waste legislative energy with do nothing proposals, is to distract from the fact that they are do nothing politicians.

Every politician is a showoff unto himself. They are frustrated actors and showboats. They need the power and want to stay where the life is easy (politics) so they feel they need to do something that shows their constituents that they are doing something. If it is not something worthwhile then resort to the "Smoke and Mirrors" routine and baffle the hell out of them.

I honestly think there are very few politicians that actually went after the job to do something for the people as the people see it. They all have ulterior motives and wonder why they are not trusted.

Ban baking soda, Ha! Then only the druggies will have baking soda! Much easier than going after the cocaine. :banghead:

Inform the great Legislature of MO, Whores used Coca-Cola as a ****** between Customers, and obviously some of the offspring have entered Politics...

That is the funniest thing I have read in quite awhile, thank you sm.

As we all know women are the primary purchaser of this highly addictive substance. They then 'cook it' into forms such as 'cookies, cakes and biscuits' and serve it to their men. This keeps the men subservient, pliable and subject to hypnotic suggestion.

Crack cocaine can run??
Yep. About at far as my fridge can ;)

To be honest, before clickin' the link I wondered if there had been a rash of baking soda-and-vinegar-cork-shooter murders, or perhaps an instance where a terrorist made an IED from soda, vinegar, and a few balloons. Unbelievable...

I'd love to see this charge added to the books: "Felonious Use of a Controlled (Baking) Substance."
