The shopruger.com has scope rings for sale for the M77 Hawkeye rifle, but the website says the "High" scope ring will fit Optics of up to 52MM. This is not the case, (You would actually need a "High" mount for the front ring and an "X-High" mount for the back). I should mention, the front and back rings on a Hawkeye rifle are different heights.
I bring this up because I just purchased a Hawkeye Rifle and a 50MM Optic. (A very nice Redfield Revolutions 3x9x50) The scope rings that come with the rifle will only work for a scope with a 42mm or smaller optic lens.
I'm sending the information to Ruger, but I also thought I would mention it here.
I called Ruger, and they are going to swap out the ring for me, but means another two weeks wait before I can actually take my rifle to the range.
