ML scope help needed

i pre-ordered a Knight mountaineer with a leupold ultimateslam 3-9x scope (steel finish to match gun) but Knight says they can not get the scope. I have waited about 4 months and am thinking of just getting the rifle and buying a scope myself. i would get about $250 back from Knight so i would like to find a scope/base for about that price (up to $300). Steel finish. Any recommendations? I found the same scope online but wanted to see if there was something better for the same price and the ultimateslam seems a little gimmicky.

I bought a black Ultimate Slam Leupold for my T/C Triumph. I have it bore sighted and cant wait to sight it in. I have high expectations for it. I compared it with the Nikon Omega but went with the Leupold, just like the sighting system better. Two and three pellet options etc. I'd recommend the Ultimate Slam or another quality rifle scope.
