I am about to buy a scope for my Remington .270. I am planning on buying the Leupold VX-II 3x-9x scope. My .270 is stainless steel and was wanting the silver finish on the scope. Would that make a differnce or anything to the scope.
A superb choice in scopes! The finish has no bearing on the optics or the (other) internals. The durability of the finish is equal to the black anodized.
Your great grandchildren will be shooting that combo years from now. The scope will be "as new" and still holding zero.
