MO Bullet 9mm 147gr in CZ 75?

I just did last week.

The only problem I had is that the 147's sharp ogive gets smacked really hard on chambering. Every live round I ejected had a big dent with shavings of displaced lead hanging off.

I'm switching to the 125 gr. small ball anyway (147s print high in my xDM), and I doubt I'll have that problem with them.

I haven't loaded any for my CZ 75B yet, but I have been running them in my 38 Super with zero feeding probs.

Sam - you'll have to load 'em short - like 1.07" or shorter - to get them to cycle. Then, they run just fine. If you try to load them out to "normal" length (1.125, IIRC), they will not chamber.

I wonder how short the 147s would need to be seated to not do what you describe, Sam. And, with that heavy of bullet, I imagine seating too deeply risks pressure issues...

Anyone else?
Q

I've run a few hundred through my 75. I have a love/hate reloading relationship with 9mm. I prefer cast bullets and have only managed a couple of accurate @25 yards loads.

Oddly, the MB 147 subsonic is one of them, but in only one powder, Bullseye. I've tried Solo 1000, N310, Clays, and 231 utilizing many different charge rates.

I can achieve 2.0", 25 yard bench rested groups from my CZ using 2.8 - 3.0 gns BE, however I am not recommending this load since I have not seen it listed in any load data.

Q,

Thanks, I'll probably give that a try, would give me a good reason to buy some AA. I've never used any.

3.8-4.0 of 231 with the small ball works pretty well too.

The 125 gr. SmallBall from Brad pushed by 3.3 grs. Bullseye is a very accurate load out of my CZ 75 B stainless.
My CZ PCR does well with it also.

I run kust 3.0gr. of Bullseye over a 125gr. LRN Missouri Bullet Small Ball on my CZ-75B.

I have to seat them no longer than 1.05" OAL to keep them off the rifling. Good accuracy < 3" groups offhand at 25 yards. No leading problems. The deep seating keeps the pressure up.
