Hello Everyone,

I have a rather frustrating problem I thought someone else might be have found a solution to. Everyone knows that mobile phones are an integral part of any serious CCW package.

Recently, I bought a Sanyo 8100 mobile phone and was very disappointed in the choices in belt cases for carrying it. I compromised on a leather case with a rotating plastic clip that scatches the hell out of my expensive gun belts and is very difficult to reinsert onto a belt compared to friction fit cases mounted to the belt with a belt loop. The other options were a universal case that didn't fit well and a little plastic thing that held the phone rather precariously by the edges with friction.

Ideally I want a case that stays on the belt when I draw the phone. I want to be able to take the phone out of the case or reinsert it without looking at it or fumbling with it. In an emergency when my other hand is preoccupied by holding a BG down, wielding a handgun, or driving I want to be able to easily make the call to 911 without droping the phone.

Is there a leather shop, holstermaker, or other firm that makes custom cases (preferably leather) for mobile phones that mount to the belt with a beltloop (i.e., the case stays on the belt when you withdraw the phone)?

If yes, could you direct me to them?

Thanks for your input.

I don't know what size your phone is, but I use one of these for my StarTAC. Mine is a very durable basketweave leather, has a velcro cover and has a plastic closed loop for the belt. I like this a lot better than clips since working in a technical capacity I tend to do a lot of crawling under, over, in, and around things. I used to lose my cell all the time when it would catch on something and fall off my belt. I also wore out two nylon and one soft leather case. I've had this one for about a year and it shows no real wear.

If you don't like this one, look at other makers of Police duty wear.

I don't know if they make any for your particular phone, but Krusell of Sweden makes damn pretty damn fine mobile phone cases. Nice leather, and they have something called the "multiadapt" system. With this, you can change mounting options with ease. Want a belt clip? No problem! You can later swap it out for a swivel clip among other things.

I was going to send my Motorola v120e to Blade-Tech and have them do one. I used a Nite-Ize pouch for my Motorola StarTac[tical] but it was a little bulky, but so will the Blade-Tech be if I get a Tek-Lok attachment for it.

Take a look at the Wilderness HIC (horizontal implement case), it MAY fit your phone...I'm not sure though.

Right now I put a lanyard on it and attached it to a shirt button loop. Majorly dorky, but quick access and secure.

Coach Leather stores have one which I use.
It fits your requirements. Mine is brown leather.
Check to see if they have one for your phone.
They are expensive unless you can find one on sale at
one of their outlet stores in outlet centers.
