I like M19 snubs.

That's not a bad price, but not a steal either. I'd try for 500, citing finish and grips but probably would still buy at 550.

I’m not saying don’t buy it, if you do and it works well you’re into it at a reasonable price.

If it doesn’t light your fire, you’ll get your money back (probably more) very easily.

There's a nib 19-9 with 4" for sale on a local gun board for 675. Looks sharp. No idea what they are really worth.

I bought a 2-1/2" and a 4" Model 19's at the height of the Obama shortages for more than the OP's revolver in question. So, I'd suspect the current asking price is reasonable as prices have come down a bit in the last year or so.

My 6" Model 19 purchased new around 1980 failed due to a cracked forcing cone after a steady diet of 158 grain full power loads for IHMSA Silhouette competition. S&W replaced the barrel on their dime but I have been cautious with my Model 19's since.

These days, I load ammunition for my 357 magnum revolvers with 158 grain SWC bullets loaded to about 950 fps from a 4" barrel. These are comfortable to shoot and not high power that risk damaging the revolver.

I, too limit the horsepower of my K frame .357 mag loads to upper mid-range loads at the max. Most of them are loads for Unique/Bullseye powders using plated/coated bullets.

I save the H-110 loads for the 686+.

Stay safe.
