I found myself in need of a good flashlight. They days are short now, the nights are long.....I find myself out in the dark this time of year.....
I have a few criteria:
Rugged
Rechargeable
Power port to charge electronics.
Enough lumens for 100yds+
Adjustable beam and intensity.
I like the Cob led that lights up a room.

My LGS is a NEBO dealer and he has some options that fill the bill......
Does anyone have any other suggestions before I drop my $$

I’d suggest this one.

Its my favorite and I have others to use, it just puts out much more light than the others I have.

The Gracetop lights on the right are nice if you need a spot light for distance though.

The only adjustable beam pocket lights I have used much though, the others never made it to carry status.

I definitely have pocket lights...both olight and Streamlight...
I'm looking for a handheld camping/truck light or nightstand type light.

Just a thought in your search. I used flashlights all day at work and I found that most of the rechargeable lights had a rather limited run time. If the battery is replaceable, then I could keep a spare on the charger, but in some devices the battery is built in, so when you're out, you're out. I opted for a flashlight that allowed me to use two different types/sizes of batteries and could adapt to either alkaline or rechargeable batteries.

I've got a Nebo... IP67 (?) I believe... I love the thing, but it has it's moments. When I travel, I shove it in my go-bag... but with no guard on the On switch, I've had it switch on before... and kill the battery.

Plusses... I like the side light, it works very well as a work light... under the truck or something like that. The main beam can be focused... and although I've never tried it, I'll bet it would go 100yds.

Negatives... It needs more defined 'flat' spots... so it won't roll away from you on a flat surface.

It is my nightstand light...

I have the olight odin, warrior, and javelot. The first two are Excellent lights. Much farther reaching than 100yd though. The javelot im not all that impressed with.

I have a few old duty innova t4 that have been great too but no adjustable beam. Only high/ low/ strobe.

That's pretty darned good actually....thanks

I have (3) of these. One in the Jeep, one in the garage, and one on my bed stand. I like them.

Always looked at and bought streamlight, used them after they have melted when I did interior fire department stuff so I know they hold up. Plus they always have us like 20-25% discount being fire department. I've used there Vulcan, survivor, stinger they are great, had another compact light I can't remember the name of went on the belt and used 2 of those shortened AA type battery. Have a small one I believe is a streamlight that I got from snap-on that uses one AAA. It's great bright enough last a long time and it fits in the action on most rifles so I can check the bore. Has lo and hi.

The flashlights I carry are not rechargeable, but very good lights that have served me very well.

The Streamlight Polytac (CR123) is in my edc bag, and the O-Light I3T (AAA) is always on my person.

Good bright lights.

That one I linked to in #2, comes with a wall charger that I generally rotate batteries with at home. However, the battery they come with also accept a c type charger and is often faster than the 300ma charger they come with.

My phone happens to use the same plug, so I pretty much always have a charger for it, no matter where I go.

you might consider a headlamp too. I find them really handy out in the woods, keeps my hands free for other things. I got one of these earlier this year for a hiking trip in New Hampshire AT. I was very happy with it.

I highly recommend a 21700 battery and USB C charging. That's my criteria. Besides that, I have wishes but they're not likely to be fulfilled.
First, omit the strobe feature. It's a stupid gimmick that's just going to interfere with a critical situation at the worst time -- and yes, it has unintentionally plagued an OIS -- but good luck finding a light without it.
Second, let me set the brightness without scrolling through all the levels with multiple button pushes. I want instant, one-touch access to any brightness level and this does not require more than one or two controls.

FWIW, I've carried the same PD36R since 2019, but I'm not particularly recommending it. I've had no issues with it except the risk of unwanted strobe and multiple button pushes to scroll through the brightness levels. If I were buying now, I'd look at the PD36R Pro, the PD40R and what else, I don't know. I've had good results from Fenix since I've carried them EDC since 2013, but I would go to other brands if they officered what I wanted.

I like headlights too. Hands-free is hard to beat. I have a few Petzl and Black Diamond. I don't have any high performance headlights and I don't carry them, but they are in the 4x4, backpack, and camping gearboxes. I was camping 9 days straight about a week ago and the headlight was definitely more productive than my EDC handheld.

I also like the little diffused dome lights that have a neodymium magnet base and a carabiner-style hook. Those are great for sticking on the 4x4 when car camping, hanging from a tree to light the camp kitchen, or hanging inside a tent. I'll even take it heavyweight (winter) backpacking.

I carry like 2-3 light in my hunting pack and that small light in my pocket, learned the lesson the hard way. That was quite the messed up night so many bad things happened. Short story, shot a doe hour before Sun down, waited for a buck to pop up. That didn't happen and walked over the hill I figured the doe was dead since she was going down as she got over Top it. No deer, light in hand follow the blood like 300 yards. There were 4-5 coyote on the deer, shot one, shot the second the light was in my hand under the rifles forearm. That second shot killed the coyote and the light, pitch black and no spare light. It was a interesting night for sure getting out of there.

I bought 3 of these flashlights from Olight. They were the baton 2 with the charging case. It holds the charge all year long. Flash light is very small and light and I wear it on the bill of my cap at night when walking or camping. This new generation puts out 1200 lumens which is quite impressive for such a small lighter. This would be my recommendation for you.

Amazon might have them cheaper.

Olight, Streamlight, Surefire in any size you like.

As to battery exchange, just carry a spare rechargeable battery with whatever you are carrying. My Baton takes CR123s, 18650 rechargeable in the light or 18650 with micro usb on battery charging. Easy solutions are available.
