The original rifle cost me 400 dollars. It was an Egyptian contract gun from 1873 ish. I bought a Green Mountain barrel blank for 110.00. They have gone up in price, threaded it to match the receiver, chambered it, cut the extractor slot, made an extractor, made the stock. I did put an aperture sight on as well as a folding rear sight and a flip up front sight. So as to cost with all the pieces parts was around 650.00 dollars 15 years ago. Was well worth the time and effort plus a great project. Lots of fun lobbing bowling balls at a target 500 yards plus.
