I like option 1 the historical one.

I will take one for me, and one for the Wife.

Also the Historical would make one Heck of a Bumper sticker..

YES!!! Glad you're doing this! I voted for option 3 but I'll take a couple of them in whichever graphic is decided upon. Please let me know when you get ready to put together an order.

option 3:

Lettering on the chest.

But I'd take option one, if it comes down to that.

Ash gray, Navy Blue lettering; high-quality t-shirts--size 2XLT.

I'll take two, and probably another one or two in other colors.

Forgot to mention that! You will be able to have the lettering on the chest or on the back. We will also have different types of shirts for different prices (ie. cheaper, light weight T-shirts. OR a few bucks more for heavy weight, more durable shirts. Might offer long sleeves as well if anyone's interested.) The variables for prices will be documented in the soon-to-be GB thread. (After this poll is done)

I would buy one if you offered #1 with small lettering over the left side of the chest - like a designer logo on a polo shirt.

I am not into shirts with big bold lettering (front or back) because they are not appropriate for business casual wear.

OK, I will buy both one and three.

But, I'm a bit negative on the blatck T-shirt / white lettering idea. Hot in the summer, a bit of a design cliche.

How about an ivory--e.g., like the "marble" of the image--with the black lettering.

Just increase the script to bold, so to speak, and make it big enough to be read from 7 yards....

Say, what does Molon Labe mean again?

For those that did not pay attention last time.

And yes I will take one if you offer any in 3XL.

Say, what does Molon Labe mean again?

Hehe, funny screen name you got there.:)

It means "Come take" or "come and take them(weapons)".

No problem. Shirt color, size and ink colors will be chosen by the buyer, per shirt during the GB

Cool, white shirt with red or black lettering sounds about right.;)

I too am a big guy. I see you are offering up to 5X.

Well many of us big guys are big in multiple directions, a 3XTall or a 4XTall is what I normally choose.

however, not all talls are equally long. i'd love it if you could actually measure regular and tall. I believe the standard is to measure at the top of the collar all the way to the bottom, the part that would cover the plumber's crack

p.s. I like the idea of ivory with black or dark brown lettering, 'historical' like in your link

I don't have the photo skills of some

shirt2014.jpg

This is the first prototype, centered on the front of an XL-T. We couldn't use the image verbatim from Wiki (copyright), so we eyeballed it and made our own.

I'm thinking about enlarging the design by about 1.5 to cover more surface area. What do y'all think?

I'm gonna perfect the size/ratio over the next couple days, then hopefully start the GB.

I don't intend to be nit-picky or condescending, just informative:

Different languages contain different ways to express an idea. Often, translations of sayings in one language are difficult to transfer, not because of lack of the concept, but lack of the language to express the concept.

I'm not an expert on translation, I just remember reading somewhere that the closest meaning is "first: come, then (if successful in coming) try to take"

The gist I received is that the first part (coming) must be completed before even attempting the second - the taking. Both of which are under contest.

Whereas the English translation gives equal credence to both "come and take", the Latin provides a chronology where there is a question of completing the first before even tackling the second.

I voted for #3, but #1 is cool too. Count me in for at least 2 Large T's (preferably black). The one's pictured are great!
