I think that some like moly and some don't.
The list of advantages and disadvantages get scewed, depending on to which camp one belongs.
1)
a) Moly seems to be at an advantage with many shot at very high velocity.
b) No moly seems to be at an advantage with few shots at low velocity.
Even so, only half the bench rest shooters use moly, and that is many shots at high velocity.
2) So the break point may be a question of personal preference:
Do you like to fight Copper or molysulfide?
3) There is a discipline requred to use moly , and my friends are not up to it, and do many silly things with the moly products.

I like to use moly with virgin barrels, lyman bore creame burnished in the bore before the first moly bullet is fired.
4)
a) My understanding of benchrest shooters is that moly allows them to go ~15 shots instead of ~8 between barrel cleanings.
b) My personal experience with .223 2,500 fps 60 gr and ground squirells is that I can go hundreds of rounds, and get no fouling at all.
