I'm thinking about picking up some Montana Gold bullets, after reading a lot of positive things about them on THR. Are they truly jacketed, or are they plated? I've searched the forum and found some who claim they're jacketed, and others insisting they're plated. I prefer to use jacketed.

Any comments on them good, bad, or indifferent? I'd be getting 9mm.

I have good experience with MG jacketed bullets in pistol calibers.

Their recent .38 spl 125 gr. jacketed lots were undersized (0.354-0.355") and they were unable to replace with correctly sized bullets. Had a rather unpleasant discussion with them along the lines:

--We used 5 different calipers - they are right size bullets.
--I used 3 different calipers - they are not.
--Your calipers are broken.
--All three of them??? How come then your 9mm bullets measure .355 with same calipers?

At the end they refunded cost of the bullets (2 boxes) but I lost money on return shipping and credit card fees. That's a pitty - I used to use their revolver bullets for awhile. I switched to Remington and Speer for jacketed and Xtreme bullets for plated. They are more expensive but right size (with same calipers).

:(
