Alright, so while discussing my new upcoming buy, namely a Taurus 905, I ran into one statement that puzzled me.

The 905 uses Moonclips. these are in place to extract the rimless 9mm cartridge, as well as serving to place said rounds into the gun quick-like. Right?

Well, one shooter said that at the range when obviously not in a self defense scenario he doesn't use the clips. Wouldn't he not be able to extract the rounds then?!

Or am I missing something here?

He'd have to pick them out with his fingernails or push them out with a pencil or something similar, one by one.

Possibly the moonclips get in the way and hit the grips going in and coming out of the small revolver just like most speed loaders do on j-frame smiths and sp101s, and if he needed a reload the moonclip could get caught and not allow it. But here's the deal with that...practice he shouldn't be carrying a gun if he can't use it proficiently/effectively. I carry a SP101 with 2 speed loaders and 2 speed strips right now, speed loaders in my right coat pocket and strips in my front right pant pocket, I mostly carry revolvers though and can reload if needed pretty effectively.
