I have 2 loads for the RMR 124 gr MPR that I like equally well for my 9mm carbine. I've probably shot around 500 of each and now I have some chrono results for those:

124 gr RMR MPR
5.6 gr BE 86 OAL 1.07
1379 1375 1330 1350 1370 1366 1333 Average = 1358
124 gr RMR MPR
6.0 gr Herco OAL 1.07
1420 1400 1393 1422 1398 1411 Average = 1407

The Herco loads surprised me a bit with that high velocity. I decided to shoot a few of the Herco loads in my Ruger 9e, 4" barrel:
Here's what I got: 1260 1274 1250 Average = 1261
Kind of scary, Right? At the time I shot these I was getting some bad readings on the chrono and I thought it was wrong but after shooting 3 and they were pretty consistent I think they're good results. I don't ever shoot these in the handgun because they're just too stout and not fun to shoot, but as I mentioned, I've shot hundreds of these in the carbine.
With that kind of velocity in the 4" barrel these loads have got to be borderline overpressure at best, right?

Edit: For reference the Alliant 2002 manual lists 125 FMJ load at MAX charge of 6.5 grains Herco, OAL 1.15, PSI of 32,700 and velocity of 1180fps

FWIW, I have a box of Underwood 124 gr. JHP +P+, and they're advertised at 1200 fps
