first, i'd like to re-thank everyone that chimed in when i last had some glock questions. yesterday, i finally picked up the new glock 26 i've been slobbering over for a while now (though i also have a 1st gen G17 that i bought back in '86,so i shouldn't be so weak-kneed and giggly). but i digress....anyway,(question one) i'm wondering if anyone can tell me where to find spare mini-mags. CDNN,my favorite one-stop mag dealer doesn't seem to have them.same for sportsmansguide, etc.
(question 2 ) what was the name of that company that made that great little mag base-plate for the mini-glock ? not the ones that increase the lenth of the handle, but the thin sliver that extended straight out from the bottom and rested between the third and fourth finger. everyone raved about them. and (question 3) this is mostly out of curiosity, will one of those nifty mag-extension pieces detrimentally affect the performance of said mags ? i'm thinking, with a 17 to 33 round mag, a 2 round extension isn't much of a change, but adding 2 more rounds to a 10 round mag seems a significant reduction in spring tension.
as always, any and all responses much appreciated.....m.r.

P.S. i just noticed that this is my 100th post, and i'm now a .....(drumroll,please )senior member !!! i am now doing the george clooney-"oh brother ,where art thou" dance !!!!!

I have used R Guns before for FAL mags. That went well. They are in the News and the web site is www.rguns.net. For Glock mags I always buy at the gun shows here in Tulsa. When buying several at a time those guys will come down a bunch.

black snowman, thanks for the heads-up on the mags from midway ( shoulda thought of them myself,i've ordered stuff from them before) but those pearce mag plates are not the ones i was refering to. these were a very thin, angled sliver that protruded straight out from the bottom of the mag, fitting (i assume) between the 3rd and 4th finger.hopefully someone will chime in soon.

Also check Bachman Pawn & Gun in Dallas. 214.351.0572. Their add in the News has pretty good prices.

found it ......

i dug around and found them on my " model 26 or 27?" thread. shoulda looked there first !!

"Whichever sub-compact that you get, you may want to consider replacing the mag floorplates with this product:

http://www.concealablecontrol.com/advantage.html

For most people, the grip on the sub-compacts is improved with some type of pinky support."

did that first, they all only have the ones that add an inch to the bottom. as i pointed out above,i've already dug up what i was looking for in an old thread.
