I've searched on gunbroker and can't find one. Does anyone make a synthetic stock or sporter type stock for an m44 that doesn't have the monte carlo style cheek rest on it?

It wouldn't be a big deal, but it's on the wrong side for me.

Also, anyone know of a good scope mount for mosins?

S&K Scout scope mount. As a matter of fact, I have one (weaver style). These go for $69 + shipping, usually comes out to $75. I'll sell it for $50 shipped. Mounted once, barely used. Great mount. Very stable. Let me know if you are interested. Here's a picture of it (this one is non-weaver, but it's close) http://www.scopemounts.com/negant.html

That's if you want to mount in that way. If you want a rear mounted scope, then the set-up for that is totally different. Requires side mount, is much taller, and you'll need a new bolt handle.

ATI makes a pretty nice synthetic m44 stock, but only in monte carlo style as far as I know.Never seen a synthetic by anyone that wasn't monte carlo, actually...not enough demand, or manufcturer's are just missing the boat.not sure which.
