I just received my 91/30 from AIM today. I unpacked it after I got home and ate dinner and figured out how to strip it and took it apart and started cleaning the metal and will work on the stock before I go to work tomorrow morning.

The one thing I noticed is that the front sight appears to be slanting left. Will drifting the sight right make it 'rotate' onto center? Or was the front sight base resoldered on off center (it didn't look like it was resoldered on)?

I've seen a couple of folks say they have mosins with "leaning" front sight bases. They've said that the guns are accurate anyway. Shoot it first. It could be just a "cosmetic" thing.

Mine leans a little. Go shoot it 1st before you mess with it. It won't rotate but it will drift if need be. My rifle is very accurate anyway. Mark
