Mosin Nagant accuracy trouble.

I have gone through the same issues for a while. I put on a accuracy kit, cleaned the barrel very thorough, started reloading my own ammo, went to the range and still had a flyer at various points and times and noticed decreased accuracy as I shot. Went back and relooked everything, and .....

I found out that my Scout Scope mount actually comes loose after a few shots due to the recoil of the Mosin rifle. I would tighten and secure the sight but it always appeared to come loose. Remember a millimeter deflection of the scope is inches on the target. My scope is mounted in the iron sight base using the original screw hole to hold the mount down, this was my main issue, so I used a good Loctite and shimmed it.

Now I get 2-3 MOA consistently from my 1939 Tula Mosin Nagant. I could probably get better results if I used a better scope.;)
