Mosin Nagant Stripper clips

About a year ago I purchased 5 stripper clips for my 7.62x54 MN. I brought them home loaded 5 rounds in the clip I then inserted it into the rifle and using my thumb tried to force them down no luck. No matter what I tried it couldn't get them to go. Well I thought they sold me defective clips. I threw them in a drawer and left them. About a week ago I was looking up something on You tube and found out the proper way to load the MN clip. I tried it and it works great. I sure felt like a dummy.

When I got mine, I was told the clips never work, so I didn't bother trying. Maybe I should try your suggestion.

I shot my first one in the summer of 2012, considerably different than my SKS. Doctors say my shoulder is coming along nicely.

After firing my MN at least a hundred times since I bought it I have the utmost respect for the Russian soldier in WWII. Anyone that can stand the recoil of a M38 or a M44 in a combat situation firing mybe 50 or 100rds would have to be one tough guy.

you shoulder it wrong if it hurts.

The clips work fine, use the topmost cartridge as a "lever."
