I know there are some out there who will tell you how crappy the MN's are, rough around the edges, not tack drivers, cheapo charlie collectibles, and so on.
I totally disagree. I love the history of them (especially the Finns) and I have aquired a modest collection of them (12) from different models, years, arsenals, and countries. Some are better shooters than others to be sure, but I still find them very appealing to collect and shoot. And on some (back to the Finns M39's) the stocks are a thing of beauty themselves.
That being said..... anyone who may agree with with this view, How about showing off those prized Mosins. What better way to celebrate Independence Day than FA displays!

God Bless America.

Dammit, Vaarok, stop posting pictures of those guns!!! You know you're only doing it to make us jealous!! You're a sadistic pr**k!!!

Translation: Nice Mosins!

I give, Vaarok wins. But he apparently has nothing better to do than collect guns, like squirrels have nothing better to do all day than try to get into bird feeders. He's notorious.

Mine weren't as pretty, but they shot well enough.

Hey, I saw the Mosin on gunbroker, and I knew I had one chance at it and would never see another as good for years, if ever, and certainly not as cheap. So I paid five hundred fifty bucks for it.

35$ T53's! the ANTI PRON!

hideous, beat, worn. but 35$!

iv got a few Soviets. i need to get a finn. but these t53s have so much character
heres the how i received them condition. 1 has been stripped down, sanded a little. another has been just cleaned up. the remaining 2 await their fates. cant decide whether i want to preserve them for the most part the way they are, or restore them.

Vaarok likes them stripey ones. With good cause, they are beauties.

I've seen pictures of Vaarok's rifle before; it's awe inspiring.

Here are mine. A $70 M44 and my brand new (to me) M39.

I bought some of those $35.00 T53s. Made good Christmas presents!

Well, niehter is much of a "prize", but they are both a lot of fun to shoot, and the Type 53 has the lightest, shortest trigger pull of any rifle I hve ever touched, so they certainly are "prized" by me, because of that.
